As you may have noticed, I am a little behind schedule in getting out the July series America the Beautiful – History Forgotten. I have just had to do a bit more research before it will be ready, so my plan is to get it out later today.
The holiday hit this weekend, and I used some of the extra time to do some behind-the-scenes work on the blog, as well as spend time with family and friends.
First off, I enrolled my Blog into Bloglovin, so if you are a fan feel free to follow the new link at the top of this post!
You will notice some new sections, under the “About this Site” menu tab. I put new sections in that will create easy access for you to find site updates, Tuesday Townhall meetings, and We Make the Road weekly discussions, instead of having to scroll down through the blog feed to look for them.
I would love some feedback on the site as well. I am trying to make it user friendly, practical, as well as aesthetically pleasing based off what I enjoy when visiting other blog sites.
However my own taste is not enough, so I need to know what you like or don’t like! 🙂
In having worked through this past week on the new posting schedule, as well and researching my news series for July, I am going to spread things out a bit more. It’s no secret that I am pretty new to this level of consistency with blogging, so in doing this I want to put the effort in to do it right. I want to make sure that I am giving you quality posts versus just focusing on quantity. I have learned that to do this it takes time to research and write, as well as to give myself time in between to rest and refocus. Without that, you get what I ran into by the end of this week — zombie blogger Kallie staring at a screen trying to think of something interesting to write and coming up with nothing. So instead of doing both the “Who Is My Other?” and the “America the Beautiful – History Forgotten” series together, I am going to do one at a time, beginning with America the Beautiful. You can see my revised schedule below, in my original post that I have updated in detail.Untold Stories Summer Posting Schedule
As always if you have suggestions, I would love to hear them, as this site is as much about creating an environment for you to want to return to as it is for me to step up and share my voice.
What else would you like to see on the blog? Whether its a technical feature, a content suggestion, a topic to cover, a question to consider — I would love to hear it!
For my subscribers and followers out there, thank you so much for your confidence and support!
